Your Glamping Stay

OUR SHEPHERDS HUTS

For those looking for glamping accommodation in Kent, we now have two huts available: Shepherd’s Watch and Ploughman’s Retreat.

Visit each huts page for further information on what makes each unique and special.

Each hut has been lovingly restored by ourselves offering a truly luxurious glamping experience nestled into the Kent Downs. After pulling up to your private parking next to each hut, find your way inside and help yourself to the fresh milk in the fridge, complimentary teas and coffee along with some homemade cake.

SHEPHERD HUTS FACILITIES

Our glamping huts have all of the comforts you can’t live without.

Ensuite – Both huts include a luxury ensuite shower, heated towel rail, toilet and wash basin. The shower and washing facilities are a home-from-home experience with a fully plumbed hot water system. Quality cotton towels are included along with a luxury welcome pack of shower gel, shampoo, hand & body lotion and soap locally produced by Romney Marsh Wools here in Kent. All you need to remember is your toothbrush and toothpaste!

Kitchen Facilities – Both huts have an electric two ring cooking hob for cooking light meals & tasty English breakfasts along with a Dualit toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. Cooking pans and utensils are included along with plates, cutlery, mugs and a selection of glasses. An electric fridge is located within each hut which have a small ice box also. Fresh milk is provided in the fridge upon arrival along with a selection of complimentary teas and coffee. For washing up, Belfast sinks are located inside along with dish cloths and washing up liquid.

Living & Sleeping – Each hut has been furnished with their own bespoke features to a very high standard and include plenty of hanging space, a hair dryer and areas to store suitcases. Antique table and chairs are included inside along with a welcome pack which includes local places to eat, local maps for walks, things to do in the area and special places to visit.

A wood-burning stove is included inside to ensure you are kept warm and cosy. There is a plentiful supply of free logs within log stores adjacent to each hut. If the fire goes out, don’t worry, there is even an electric heater inside programmed to ensure you will never be cold.

At the end of a long day’s walking and enjoying the countryside, retreat to a handmade and bespoke king-size bed with goose down duvet, pillows and quality bed linen.

Outside – Table and chairs are available at both huts along with a fire pit with a grill for BBQs. A well-stocked log store is next to each hut to keep the fire roaring whilst you watch the sunset and beyond!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

We’ve tried to think of everything to make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible but here are a few things you may like to bring:

Some warmer clothes for evenings around the fire – maybe some wellies for those damp days – trainers or walking boots for exploring the countryside and a waterproof jacket would be practical too!

We can supply breakfast hampers and packed lunches but if you prefer to bring your own meals there’s an electric 2-ring hob in the hut and a great grill over the fire pit – don’t forget the marshmallows to toast over the fire afterwards!
You’ll have a complimentary supply of tea, coffee & milk on arrival and don’t forget to bring your favourite tipple or wine for relaxing!

Bring your own toiletries and try our welcome pack of luxury shower gel, shampoo, hand & body lotion and soap locally produced by Romney Marsh Wools.

It’s a great opportunity to bring that book you’ve been meaning to read and curl up in front of the fire with a glass of wine. If you’re lucky enough to see one of our stunning sunsets, why not experience it with a glass of champagne with your feet up next to the cosy fire!
